Henry The Green Heron
Henry, a nestling Green Heron, arrived at Wild Mother Nature on 6/26/26 in need of a second chance. His finders did everything right when they found him and tried to renest him, so his parents could continue to care for him, however, Henry was still alone after 24 hours. After assessing the situation, our team decided it was best that Henry be brought to the rescue. He has since settled in nicely and has a GIANT appetite, which is characteristic to these magnificent birds!

Here he is gulping down some minnows! Green Herons are wading fisher birds, and live almost exclusively off of fish and aquatic invertebrates.
Stay tuned for further updates as Henry grows!
